Thank you for your interest in adopting a Lab through Wild Heir Labrador Rescue.

Adoption is easy! If you are a responsible dog person who loves Labs you automatically qualify as an excellent candidate. Adoption application and adoption contract is standard and a minimum adoption fee of $250 includes applicable/age appropriate vaccinations (DA2PPv), rabies shot, spay/neuter, microchip, as well as heartworm test for animals over 6 months at intake. In cases of young puppy adoptions, the new owner assumes responsibility for routine/recommended deworming and DA2PPv puppy booster shots. All adult dogs are temperament tested, crate trained and in many cases house broken.

Flea prevention, as needed and monthly heartworm preventative is given to each applicable dog while in rescue. Once they are adopted, their new family assumes the responsibility of supplying the monthly heartworm and flea preventative to their dog. Many of our puppies/dogs have been with a foster family that has exposed them to house training, crate training, socialization & basic commands based on their age.

The $250 is normally a minimum donation that goes to the direct care of our dogs. Many times our cost put into each dog is higher than the required minimum donation of $250.

**All adoptable Labs are kept at private residences, therefore, an approved adoption application is necessary to schedule a visit with the Labs.** Save a Lab and make a friend for life!

Please fill in this form as completely as possible so that we can select the best possible match for you. An incomplete form may delay the processing of your application or may result in a poor match for your home/lifestyle.

Because all of our people are volunteers, it may take a few days for us to get around to processing your application. If you haven't heard from anybody in a few days after sending in your application, don't panic. We probably just haven't made it through the pile to yours yet. If more than a week has gone by and you haven't heard from anybody, feel free to call or email us again.
