JB and I just wanted to let you know that our wonderful Sam (we adopted him this past July) is thriving! He has filled out (he weighed 65 pounds when we got him. He now is 78 pounds of lean muscle) and has made our home his own. All of our neighbors have been amazed at how well is has adapted to us and to the other dogs on the block. He now will retrieve his dummy, but still doesn't care at all about fetching anything else. He loves the ocean and swimming. He is my running companion - we run 3.5 miles on a 3 or more times a week. He is wonderful with the grandchildren (we have 6, ages 18 months to 10 years) - very gentle especially with the babies. Our lives are enriched by Sam and his loving attitude. He is a great family member and we are so glad to have him. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Sam until we came along.
