Hi, I'm Jake! I'm about 7 years old. The nice people at WHLR/Daisy's Place found me at the shelter and even though I'm not totally Labby, they said I was just too sweet to pass up! I look more like a Duck Toller and as you can see from my photo, I'm cute as can be. I love other dogs and am very good with kids, I don't even mind cats ... I'm just an all around easy going guy! I really enjoy going for walks and I don't pull on my leash. I like it when my foster mom gives me a bath and I enjoy being brushed. I like to look good when I go out and about! I really love my foster mom, but am ready for my own forever home. if you're looking for a sweet dog to be your BFF (best fur friend), I'm the guy for you!
I adopted Jake. I started out as any other excited foster mom and I flunked fostering 101. Jake was in my home a little over two (2) months and was the sweetest dog I think I have ever seen. I lost my 15 year old black lab, golden and doberman mix a little over two years ago. I always thought if I got another dog he or she would be a black lab, so when I picked up Jake I thought, o.k. this is good, I will not get attached to this dog because I would have picked out a black dog..........WRONG. I could not fantom the thoughts of someone taking this precious Jake from me. He loves children and other dogs. Thank you Wild Heir for giving me the perfect foster dog so that I could give him a great home. He so deserves the life he is living now and never should have been in a shelter. My hat goes off to all the folks that can foster. It is a very rewarding thing to do and I enjoyed every minute watching Jake come out of his shell and showing me his true personality. He is all mine now!
