Hi, I'm Will. Although I'm technically a 'senior' at 10 years old, I've still got a lot of life and love left to give! If you open your heart and home to me, I will love you for the rest of my days!

Will loves to be your "buddy by your chair" while you read and your friend to take strolls through the neighborhood with (he is GREAT on a leash!) He is a big guy, so he's a great companion for someone that wants to give onlookers a little pause before they run in your house or up to you...but he is a pussycat in disguise! He loves to lay out in the sunshine on pretty days or cuddle up on his fluffy bed at night. Most of all-he wants to be with his people and will follow you around the house from room to room! He loves the little kids at his foster home, nonchalant about the kitty, doesn't mind other dogs, doesn't jump up on you, not a chewer or a digger....what? Is he perfect????? He just might be the perfect dog for YOU! Will is ready to find his forever home for the holidays!

Join WHLR at the First Annual Lowcountry Paws & Claws Pet Expo sponsored by The Post & Courier on Saturday, September 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston. Come meet some of our rescued Labs who are looking for their foster and forever homes! We'll also have lots of Labby merchandise available. Four legged BFFs (best fur friends) are welcome to attend!

Join WHLR at our Meet & Greet on Saturday, September 12th at All is Well on James Island. Stop by 1409 Folly Road any time from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and meet some of our rescued Labs who are looking for their foster and forever homes! We'll also have lots of Labby merchandise on sale.

Update: Calvin has been adopted.

Meet Calvin! He's a happy go lucky one year old puppy who's still growing into his big frisbee feet! Calvin loves everyone and everything. Even though he's still a pup, he's very well behaved and is learning how to be part of a family. Calvin is a fun loving boy who wants to find his forever family to grow up with and love!

Hi, I'm Brandy! I'm about 2 years old. The nice people at Wild Heir saved me from a shelter and now I'm looking for my forever home. I'm very sweet and love people. I'm also a typical young Lab, full of energy. Sometimes I play a little rough with other dogs, but I just need someone to help me learn my manners!

Hi. I'm Buddy! I'm about 2 years old and VERY playful! I love to play with my toys and to play tug-of-war. I'm pretty good on my leash and I'm learning my manners. I'd really like to find my forever home and someone who would love and play with me everyday!

Hi - I'm Clifford! Even though I'm an 'experienced' 7 year old Lab, I'm full of energy and learn quickly! I'm in a great foster home and learning to live in the house - I love everyone including other dogs and even cats. When I go to the dog park with my foster mom and sister I love to meet new people and go up to everyone for a good pet! I'm not sure about little kids, I'm not aggressive, I just don't know quite what to do with them! Oh, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE tennis balls and playing fetch! I'm a true Lab and like the water, too. When I'm in the house I just want to be with my people - all the time! I sleep through the night in my crate - but I'd really like a big soft dog bed of my own in my forever home, preferably some place with a big yard so I can run and play!

Update: Trevor has been adopted.

Trevor is an energetic one year old Lab who loves to play with other dogs. Retrieving his ball is one of Trevor's favorite pastimes and he enjoys going for walks and running. Trevor positively beams when praised and is learning basic obedience, he's mastered sit and will give you his paw. After a good exercise session, Trevor likes to cuddle with his people. He's looking for a forever family to give him lots of love!

Jessica and John met Java at our Meet and Greet at Petsmart in Mt Pleasant. One week later he is part of the family :)

Update: Coco has been adopted.

Meet Coco! She's a beautiful 9 year old lady who was dumped at a high kill shelter when her people got divorced. Coco is perfect in the house and loves to be with her people all the time. She's very good on her leash and likes to go walking. Don't let her age fool you, she's got lots of energy and loves to play! If you're looking for a sweet girl who will be your BFF (best fur friend!), Coco is the one for you!
