Jez, Jake and Axle

Update: Jez, Jake and Axle's situation has been resolved.

Jez, Jake and Axle are a trio of dogs that are in desperate need of a good home.

As most of you are aware my dear friend and next door neighbor passed away recently and have left behind some wonderful animals that are suffering due to her death. Her husband works out of town five days a week and I am currently feeding her beloved animals but they need daily human companionship and a forever home. Below is a list and brief description of everyone. All of these animals are house broken and would make a wonderful pet to anyone who would provide them with love and shelter. All of these animals love people; children and other animals; they were reared in a very loving environment. Kathy's husband said he can no longer care for these animals and mentioned having them euthanized; which is a cruel fate for these loving animals so please forward this email to anyone you may know that would provide a loving home to an animal in need. These animals are currently living in Swansea, SC and roaming on about 7 acres.

Jake - Male Black Lab. Approximately 10 years old, not neutered, full blooded very sweet and loves all animals including chickens and cats. Jake is an outdoor dog but is house broken as well.

Axle - Male Chocolate Lab. Approximately 6 years old, not neutered full blooded very sweet and loves all animals as well. Axle is an outdoor dog but he is house broken as well.

Jezebel - Female Chocolate Lab, spayed, approximately 9 years old, loves everybody and lives on the front porch with 3 chickens and KO the cat. Jez is afraid of thunder and lightening and would be best with someone who would have a safe place for her during a storm.

Doe

Update: Doe has been adopted.

Doe is a sweet approximately 1 year old Walker hound who is looking for her forever home. She is currently being fostered by the family that rescued her before she almost starved to death. She has been to the vet and is current on her shots. She is heartworm positive, however, the vet recommended getting her weight up and spaying her first before going through heartworm treatment (since it is hard on the dog). She is gaining weight and is a happy, playful dog who would make a great addition to your home.
